Strategy for scoring 90% or above in Class 10 | CBSE
Scoring 90% in the Class 10 CBSE boards exam is not a humongous task. It is quite easy if you follow a proper strategy.
Let's begin with how much hours to study-
Case 1:-
I am assuming that you have a whole year or 8–9 months with you. So in the case you want to score 90% or more, you need a proper devotion. So, in this case, you need to devote 3-4 hours minimum every day and do not leave any subject for more than three days otherwise you will lose interest. Fix a time and just concentrate on study on that particular time, doesn't matter if its 2 hours or 5 hours. Concentration is the key. One or two months before your exams you have to study for 6 hours at least.
Case 2:-
Here I am assuming that you have 2–3 months with you. A simple suggestion is that forget whatever marks you got in preboards and half-yearly. So in this case you need to devote 6–7 hours at a minimum for your studies.
NOW LET US MOVE TO SUBJECT WISE STRATEGY-
- MATHS:- This is a very scoring subject as the questions are predictable. So, for Maths you need to practice questions from the NCERT book at least thrice. Then before one or two months before exams move on to any sample paper, I would prefer you to use Oswaal sample papers and practice all the sets as a test after you have completed the syllabus from NCERT.
- SCIENCE- For this, you need to refer NCERT and S Chand book for theory and questions. NCERT is a must. But if you want to refer any other book then you can use Arihant ALL in ONE instead of S Chand. Make sure to attempt all the questions from ALL in ONE. In the last few weeks, you have to practice from Oswaal as mentioned in Maths.
- ENGLISH:- Make sure that you have read the whole NCERT book at least thrice. Whenever you get time read the NCERT English book by heart. Understand each and every line. Make sure to underline every important keyword, line, and all other literary devices. For English, you need to memorize keywords and write them at relevant places in your answer. These keywords will help you to fetch marks. You also need to practice writing skills at least once a week. In the last days practice sample papers. Do not neglect the reading section try to answer them with perfection.
- Social Studies- For this subject you need to devote more time to this subject than others. Read the NCERT book and make your own notes. Underline each and every important line, date, term, etc. Highlight them. I would suggest you to use the Xam Idea book for this subject. Practice map questions regularly and mark all the important locations. Also, like all other subjects practice sets from Sample papers in the last few months. Make sure to read and understand Civics and economics by heart.
DO NOT GET STRESSED OUT. ONLY CALM MIND IS ABLE TO PERFORM DURING EXAMS.
ALL THE VERY BEST.
